Enrolling Employees in Cultural Transformation at a 200-Year-Old Organization
The Challenge:
After 200 years of publishing scientific standards for the pharma industry the same way, change was in the air for this scientific nonprofit organization. A progressive CEO and leadership team with a vision for a better way led to a major cultural transformation that would dramatically change how people work and the processes, systems and technology they use. The challenge became how to engage and enroll employees, so they were ready to adapt and adopt new ways of working.
The Solution:
The Grossman Group led the internal communication efforts to announce the transformation and new strategy, including planning and implementation of:
- Executive messaging and communications support
- People leader tools and training
- Global employee meetings
- Employee resources and communications across new and established channels
- “Change network” of leaders and influencers
Key Results:
- Participation in employee events exceeded client expectations
- +100 volunteers enlisted to serve on solution teams
- Readied the organization to mobilize around the culture change
